| Introduction | It is the mission of young New Orleans Writing together to provide opportunities for young people in the Greater New Orleans area to write together on a diversity of topics. In such a diverse city, writing provides an effective means to communicate and understand. Through storytelling, commonalities are acknowledged and the unknown becomes the familiar. At young New Orleans Writing together, youth in the 6th-12th grades in the Greater New Orleans area will have the opportunity to share their personal stories and praise the experiences of their peers. We are many, but our stories create one New Orleans. |
