| Introduction | My name is Shelly I am a Breast Cancer survivor. My husbands name is Brian, he is my best friend and soulmate. We met online .( it was love at first sight) we would married that day if it had been possible! Five months after we met he had a stroke. We weren't able to see each other for 8 months. We were married 1 year and 6 months after we met in Jan 2010. I took care of him the first 2yrs and now he is taking care of me.We both have good and bad days but we manage! We have 6 children between us, 5 boys and 1 girl. We have 1 grandchild who is the high light of our life. It is the greatest thing in the world to be a grandparent. Life for me has changed tremendously since I was diagnosed in 2011 with stage 2 Breast Cancer. I appreciate the simple things in life and try not to let stressful things bother me . Life is to short and we should slow down in our lives and take time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life! |
