| Introduction | I've always been more of a dreamer than a doer when it comes to creative endeavors, so I've decided it's high time to do some more doing and less dreaming of doing. I'm a Doctor, but my nephew wants you to know I'm not the kind who helps people. I studied coastal marine life and earned a Ph.D. in Marine Science. I currently work as a grant writer and I've gone back to school to learn SQL-based Data Analysis. I love to hike, run (unless you ask me as I'm running), kayak, backpack, play Euro boardgames, travel the world, bake delicious things, and foster rescued motherless kittens...much to the dismay of my 2 resident cats who always wonder if they're about to be replaced by the mewling upstarts. I live in central North Carolina in a tiny patch of forest within a big city. Home is shared with 2 hermit crabs, 3 gerbils, the aforementioned cats, an aquatic Java moss ball named Willis, and an assortment of sickly houseplants in various stages of degeneration that rue the day I picked them out at the nursery. |
