Introduction	First, I am the Father of two Teens, Callie and Cory Jr. For employment, I am the Chief Deputy Tax Collector for Walton County, Florida. Prior to this I served as the Assistant Warden of Walton Correctional Institution, an adult male state correctional facility housing over 1,500 convicted felons. During my 17.5 years service with Corrections, which I began as a correctional officer. I also served as the agencies gang intelligence coordinator, becoming an expert on street and prison gangs. I am a published author and have written many professional articles on the subject of gangs. I have also presented hundreds of presentations at of law enforcement seminars, conferences and community events. My community service is focused on serving the needs of children and youth, I am a Certified Public Manager through the Florida State University Center for Public Management. After spending time mentoring Teens on Youth Leadership at the Boys and Girls Club and experiencing some success in directing Teens toward reaching their goals, I decided to start this blog to share those lessons.
