| Introduction | With almost 30 years of industry experience and a very impressive collection of awards, Restaurant Lurleen’s Executive Chef Andrew Mirosch is well-known to locals and fine food fans throughout Australia. Andrew has developed a regional menu using fresh, local seafood, prime meats and complementing each dish with organic produce sourced primarily from within the Redlands district. Andrew forged his personal reputation by working as Head Chef at Faces in Paddington and then opening Two Small Rooms in Toowong followed by About Face in Kelvin Grove. Both restaurants won the Best New Restaurant Award in Brisbane. Andrew then moved to North Stradbroke Is, where he combined being a chef with working as a commercial fisherman for 10 years, so he knows where to source the best seafood for his dishes. While living on the island, he owned the Blue Water Bistro and worked at Whale’s Way before becoming the Executive Chef at Sirromet. With the title of ‘Best Restaurant’ in the 2008 and 2009 Courier Mail Lifestyle Awards, as well as ‘Best use of regional produce by a chef’ and over 450 prestigious wine awards, Sirromet and Restaurant Lurleen’s are experiences not to be missed. |
