Introduction	This is where friends and family can keep up with Zion and his Medium-chain acyl-coenzyme A dehydrogenase deficiency (MCADD). Zion has a rare genetic mutation, in which he gained from one recessive gene from mom and dad. He can not break down certain fats and store it in his body like most people do. If Zion ever gets sick and doesn't eat or throw up we have to take him to the hospital right away. Patrick and I were very blessed with a wonderful baby boy who is smart and healthy, life will be scary when he is older and gets sick...but we were meant to be his protectors and his parents. Zion has already proven to us he is a fighter.
