| Introduction | I’m Ron and will be the crazy blogger that’ll be writing, cooking, traveling and photographing my way through my European retirement. On this journey with me is my lovely wife Eva (Editor) and Chloe dog (Taster). We journeyed from the USA (KY) to Southern Sweden in June of 2016. In August of the same year, I began my expedition into blogging and fulfilling a dream. That dream started in 1979, when I began an International career that took me throughout the world, working and eating my way through seven continents and too many countries to remember. This life adventure took me to obscure, not so well traveled and sometimes scary places, but blessed me by providing an opportunity to experience unfamiliar cultures, foods and flavors (and yes smells too!). I ate at banquets in China, from street vendors in India, from rooftops in Oman, tucked in some Pelmeni (dumpling) at a roadside stop in Siberia, ate at Michelin starred restaurants in Quebec and so many more. From my first travels, my dream has been to write a cookbook where I could share my adventures and food happenings. Flash forward to 2016, thus enter “Lost in a Pot”, my quill and paper for sharing my life and food stories. |
