| Introduction | Daughter to a few, sister to four, auntie to one, godmother to the best, and friend to many. I write from atop my bed, often with a cup of coffee or tea next to me, periodically looking out the window. Music is likely playing in the background. CO is my “new home,” but when I visit “home” I head to MD. I like old books, which maybe explains my pursuit to become a Bible Master. (aka: Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies) The books in and of themselves are great, but the stories behind the written words are what really intrigue me – whose hands have held the book before me, the notes written in unfamiliar handwriting, the small stains, the yellowed and bent pages. Still unsure of who or what I am to become, my heart longingly desires to be an author of some sort, which will certainly result in me becoming an insomniac. I tend to lean in this direction already. I delight in receiving a letter in the mail. I keep practically every letter ever sent to me since elementary school, including postcards. A warm beverage, the perfect book, the ideal song, and good conversation – these are things I can not live without. |
