| Introduction | NANA ABUNA FOUNDATION To help build the leadership capacity of Queen Mothers and Women in the Western Region and Ghana as a whole. To promote the participation of women in local governance, to bring government and decision-making nearer to the women and quicken the processes. To advocate for gender equality in laws, policies and programmes and provide a forum for women and other marginalized groups to influence public policy through dialogue and negotiation. To collaborate with other women organizations in working towards the goal of gender equality and promote the development of local communities, with special attention to girls’ and women’s welfare and education. To encourage entrepreneurial spirit among members in order to enhance our socio-economic well being and that of our communities |
