| Introduction | 25 years old. I live in Raheny; North of Dublin City centre. It’s quiet here, although the residents that grew up here say different. I am yet to witness a drive-by shooting anyway! I am studying Journalism in the University of Cumbria, Carlisle. It will be the habitat of education I pay gratitude to when I eventually get my degree. Journalism is cool, a great hobbie to have when not actually working or studying. It would be nice to turn something of a hobbie into an occupation. What are my chances? They say anyone can be a journalist now a days, depending on the area you write in. All I can do is continue to write on what interests me and hope to gain some "Likes" and maybe some credentials in terms of my opinion and overall writing skills. In terms of my own field of work, as you might have noticed to your left hand side, I have a specific love for discussing movies. I am hoping my passion will grant me a column for features relating to movies, games, music etc. If not, a good investigative Journalist will do just fine! :) |
| Interests | Blogging, Online Gaming, UFC, watching several movies and using my gift of opinion to annoy people :) , Journalism, HipHop world, music of all genres (bring back the 80s)!, Football/soccer if you live in the states ha! Arsenal all the way! |
| Favorite movies | Well, where to start. Terminator, no not Judgment day but that certainly follows. I have just always been a fan of Arnold’s bad guy approach. It worked so well and brought that horror feel upon its release in 1984. Terminator 2 however is indeed one of the greatest movies of all time. so different to the first, and thank god it was. It needed to be. That is why each of these movies should never be compared, both classics. I am a big horror fan. I love a good scare, so on that note, one of my favourite movies is John Carpenters Halloween. I witnessed Michael Myers when I was 12 years old, to this day he haunts me! Bravo Mr Carpenter. Congratulations to Tim Burton on making my childhood enjoyable, as dark as his concept was. Batman and Batman Returns, two fantastic movies I enjoy to this very day. As for Christopher Nolan? It is brilliant to see someone create a trilogy that should have been knocked up straight after Batman Returns. His saga so far cannot be described in many words, simply Epic. |
| Favorite music | The older I get the more I open my mind. I have been narrow minded over the past decade or so. However I love to listen to Hip/hop, Indie, Rock, some pop, reggae, a bit of everything really. Although in terms of artists that I would include as idols would be Tupac Shakur, Bob Marley, Biggie Smals and so many more iconic superstars who graced the earth with their wonderful presence of music and general persona. Today's music is sometimes hard to take in. Rap has changed, for good. I understand the commercial motive behind most of it as money seems to be accepted from whoever no matter how crap the music is. It is looking good for Independents artists such as Rap in Ireland. I have followed particular artists from my own country. Just when it started to look bleak, we rose from absolute no where. Well done lads. |
