| Introduction | In the course of a twenty year career in Public Education, I've taught every grade level from kindergarten through graduate school. In 1996 I created and served as the Principal of Washington’s first CyberSchool, a highly successful Alternative Learning Program that continues to meet the learning needs of at-risk students. The Milken Family Foundation presented me with the Milken National Educator Award in 1998 for my work in advancing 21st Century teaching and learning in Washington State. I was also awarded the Governor’s Commendation for Distinguished Achievement in Education. I currently serve as the Director of Education Strategy for Promethean, working with learning communities to integrate Promethean's Activclassroom to improve student conceptual understanding, critical thinking and creativity. |
