| Introduction | As a teenager, I volunteered at the Columbus Zoo and quickly developed a passion for wild animals and Environmental Education. So, I pursued my degree in Biology (Zoology)and after graduation did an internship with the Staten Island Zoo. Eventually I went to work with NYS Dept. of Env. Conservation. I have taught over 23,000 kids! I also have had a blast doing wildlife rehabilitation with turtles, writing natural history articles and sharing my science skills in teacher training workshops. Eventually, I got a great job as a Mom - that was the toughest interview I ever did. But my daughter turned out to be great to work for. Four years later, my son hired me to be his Mom too. (That interview was even tougher!) I keep my hand in teaching by doing workshops for Mad Science and enjoy helping Educators develop hands-on programs.
