| Introduction | Presently, I am a Government Consultant in clean energy,workforce development, veteran's issues and funding.. I am the Chairman of a regional bank which has insurance and financial services affiliates. I have been an associate professor at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, and for seven plus years was the President of the North Adams SteepleCats, a Baseball team in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. I was first elected to the Massachusetts State Legislature in 1986 and served from 1987-2011. During that time, I served as the Vice Chairman of the Committee on Bonding, Capital Expenditures, and State Assets. I was also the House chairman of three different committees. They were the joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies, Government Regulations, and Commerce and Labor. I was also on an advisory committee for the U.S. Trade Representative; and was a National Chair of the Council of State Governments. I am a graduate of the Mass College of Liberal Arts (B.A. History) and the University of Massachusetts/Boston (M.S. Public Affairs) |
