Introduction	Black Opal Farm was concieved seven years ago when James and I(Michele)moved up from New Orleans. We moved into the old farm house on the family property that had only been lived in by mice and squirrels for the previous 11 years. The whole place was completely overgrown and we had no tools except our bare hands. Over these years we have built a farm and a home to live, grow, entertain, and be at peace on the land. It's a tough life, but you learn as you go. And in the end, we have everything we could ever want.
