| Introduction | Mike has been a member of the CP Staff off and on since 1974. He has served in a variety of areas to include Aquatics, Assistant Cook, Shooting Sports Director, Business Manager, Program Director, Camp Physician and has been the ACD for 26 seasons and has worked for 5 Camp Directors. He has also served on the staff at Philmont. Beginning in Seattle as a Cub Scout he worked his way to become an Eagle Scout, Scoutmaster, completed Woodbadge training, a Vigil member of the OA and a recipient of the Silver Beaver from the Chief Seattle Council. His ruminations shared here have been slowly developing into a book to encompass over 40 years of Scouting and Staffing on the Hood Canal. Ever the cynic, much of what you read is tongue-in-cheek and his own views which is not representative of the Chief Seattle Council or BSA. Mike has a strong love for the Scouting movement and the values it instills in young and old scouts. |
