| Introduction | Michael Maya Charles is a retired major airline captain, an engaging speaker, trusted consultant, thought-provoking seminar leader, and active flight instructor in both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Despite his 22,000 hours of flying experience in over 200 aircraft types, he still actively engages in the Artful Flying process on every flight. An aviation writer and photographer for over 35 years, his images and words have appeared in the pages of FLYING Magazine and AOPA PILOT.
