Introduction Hi, my name is Loretta. I have been stitching since I was 16 years old. I was taught by my then 11-year old cousin during my first visit to Germany. She was working on project for school and not enjoying it at all but I was fascinated watching her. So she showed me what to do. I am still stitching but I doubt she is. I initially started with stamped cross-stitching because at the time that was all I could find. But I was never really happy with look. I eventually discovered counted cross- stitch and from that day forward I was hooked. At first I stitched on Aida only but early on in my marriage my FIL asked me to stitch something for him on linen. After that linen and evenweave were my preferred fabrics. I still stitch on Aida occassionally.
