Introduction	Settling into a new culture in a foreign country, without a car,just in time for the rainiest August since 1910 is not for sissies! Durham is a historic city beautifully situated in Northern England. The climate is much cooler (and rainier) than South Texas which is taking some getting used too. We are enjoying the slower pace to our days, walks along footpaths, getting to know the area and the people, and having our fair share of tea and scones!
Favorite movies	Pride and Prejudice, August Rush, P.S. I Love You, Anne of Green Gables, You've Got Mail,The Great Debate, Hoosiers, Dead Man Walking,Sense and Senseability, As Good As It Gets, Emma, and Any Brian Regan comedy acts
Favorite music	I listen to a little bit of everything. But, I have a some favorites...Jack Johnson is up there pretty high on the list. A new favorite is Ingrid Michaelson. Billy Holiday, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Norah Jones, Michael Buble,Harry Connick Jr., Ella Fitzgerald ,classical, acoustic guitar,CCR, various Christian artists...these are my staples
Favorite books	I just read the book Quaker Summer, a fictional story about a middle-aged woman who finds herself seeking a simpler and more meaningful way of living. It's a good read.
