| Introduction | I like to hang out at book stores and drink coffee. I believe it is almost impossible to own too many books. I'm married, 3 kids, one has mild Aspergers and another has life threatening food allergies to tons of stuff. I like to make stuff. Books, scrapbooks, stamp carvings, gardens, sanctuaries in my home, jewelry, etc... I worry about dogmatism, despotism, righteousness, and fanaticism, not just in "others", but in "us" as well. I aspire to be better than I am. To put my compassion into action. To appreciate every single day for the miracle it is, no matter what daunting tasks await me. To raise intelligent, curious, creative, and compassionate children. To simplify (a VERY big challenge for me) and live lightly on the earth. |

When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?
In a way, yes, a little lazy. But it is also a clinging to that last shred of sleepy cocooned comfort, before being pushed into the cacophony that is daily life. Which I suppose some could argue is a fancy way to describe lazy!
