| Introduction | Born in Arasikere, a small rural town in Karnataka, I grew up exploring hills, ponds, and the countryside around my hometown, developing a lifelong appreciation for nature. Growing up amidst economic hardships in a small town, I witnessed the struggles of ordinary families. These experiences, together with the values instilled by my mother, nurtured a deep concern for community welfare and livelihoods. Over the years, my journey has taken me across diverse landscapes—from the Western Ghats to the Himalayas and the Sundarbans—strengthening my belief that conservation and human well-being must go hand in hand. I am an Indian Forest Service officer, author, and keen observer of people and nature. Through this blog, I share stories, reflections, and lessons from my experiences in conservation, public service, and community development. |
