| Introduction | I am the product of a Southern childhood filled with cotillions, Miss Manners classes and the frequent and reverent quotings of the venerable Amy Vanderbilt and Emily Post. Largely due to my terminal lack of tact and tendency to cut through the...um...cow poop and get to the heart of a matter, I opted out of the "White Glove Career Track" and ended up going to law school. Trust me when I tell you that one must have a wicked sense of humor if one wishes to remain in the legal arena with at least a smidgen of sanity intact. So, I now find myself as a young-ish(don't question further because that would be tacky) female attorney trying to balance motherhood, marriage, career and the rest of my crazy-assed family all while trying to stay the Southern belle that I was raised to be, dammit! |
