About me

Introduction I am an elementary music teacher at Dolvin Elementary school in Fulton County from 2004 to present, after beginning my career in Forsyth County in 2001. I earned by Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of GA. I have been elected by my colleagues as Honor Teacher of the Year in 2007 and 2011, and 2015. I earned my master's degree in Educational Technology from Central Michigan University. I have been asked to host professional learning opportunities for the Fulton County elementary music educators and county leaders, as well as presenting for the Fulton County Summer Summit and Building Our Future sessions. I am a member of the Fulton County Vanguard Team. I presented on behalf of Quaver Music at MENC, NW in 2014. I am scheduled to present two sessions at GMEA in January 2016. I am also working with the Quaver Music Team to correlate the GA State Standards with their curriculum. My first published book is "In the Hall of the Mountain King". I am Orff Level 1 Certified and completed my Teaching Guitar Level 1 course. I am the co-team leader for the DES Relay for Life Team. I am an Atlanta Families’ Award of Excellence in Education Award for 2015.
