| Introduction | When I was a little toddler, my Mom, Grace Wheelan, started what is now the Seating Arrangement in the barn in the back yard. Often with me in tow she would re-cane a set of chairs. When I was 10 or so, I started working for her, helping her strip chairs and have paid attention to how she's tackled every job I've seen her do, from re-upholstering Hammersmith Farm to the hundreds of chairs, couches and window treatments that she's done over the years. She has shown me what integrity truly means from precise skill, and technique to a solid work ethic and ability to stand by one's word and creations. Somehow I have come to be taking over the family business and legacy, and I look forward to carrying on the tradition and serving the community and the world. |
