| Introduction | I (the Dragon, otherwise known as Jason C. Vaughn) am a specialist on Post-Soviet/Russian affairs who has worked for both government and non-governmental organizations. I received my graduate degrees on Russia/Russian politics/Russian sociology from University College London and I've been studying Russia, Eurasia and Eastern Europe, including connected financial, political, military and international issues, all my life. Besides my English, I speak good Russian and some other languages (Bulgarian, French, and a few others) to a lesser extent. I am a world traveler and a cat lover (yes, I know :). If a question is interesting, I love to try to answer it. If you want to send me a heads-up or whatnot, my e-mail address is dragonsrussiablog@gmail.com. My newest (and second) book, 'The Russian "House", An Examination of Post-Soviet Russian Culture in the Times of Putin,' was published by Hamilton Books/Rowman & Littlefield in October/November 2018. My first book, 'A Socio-Political Model of Lies in Russia: Putin Against the Personal,' was published in April/May 2016 and is available from Rowman & Littlefield press and from Amazon. |
