| Introduction | I am a bit of a Gypsy at Heart. I left my home in Bühl, Germany when I was 17 and came out to Australia on a boat via the Azores-Ponta Delgata,Antilles Antigua,Panama,Galapagos Island, Tahiti,New Zealand and then Sydney Australia. I love to explore the unknown until it becomes familiar.To get over my vertigo, I learned to fly aeroplanes and aerobatics: stall-turns,loops,barrelrolls,flick-rolls, falling leafes,stalls and spins- when we stall the airplane,auto- rotate and spin for 10 turns and then recover out of the dive 2500 feet lower in altitude. I used to have nightmares about falling off a cliff,but since I fly aerobatics,those nightmares have gone. I like looking up,rather than looking down,but at the same time I am a realist and usually see things for what they are. The rest I haven't quite figured out yet. But this quote below probably sums me up quite well: "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." (Oscar Wilde) |

| Favorite Music | I play the piano and also the guitar and love a very wide range of music.I started to perform on stage at the age of 14 with my german Band "the Flash"we played afternoon shows in clubs like the Raphael Club in Baden/Baden Germany.In Australia I later worked with the Australian Opera and also the Australian Ballet and it was then that I fell in love with operettas and Gypsy Music like Emerich Kahlman's Countess Maritza, The Gypsy Princess, Franz Lehar-The Merry Widow (I was a dancer in that operetta at the Opera House Sydney) Richard Strauss, Richard Wagner-Lohengrin, Carmen by Georges Bizet, Spanish Flamenco Los Romeros, At the moment I am listening a lot to Paris Combo and Edith Piaf because I want to improve my french.I like Jazz as well, Marc Moulin, St Germain, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, George Gerschwin, Glenn Miller, Ella Fitzgerald, Afro Cuban All Stars, John McLaughlin- Shakti, David Bowie, Tom Waits, The Cream, Blind Faith, Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zepplin, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Massive Attack, Patty Smith, Amy Winehouse, Portishead, classical Music, Sergei Prokofiev's-Romeo and Juliet, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, JohannS.Bach, George Friedrich Handel, redescovering all the music my parents, but especially my Vater used to listen to and play on our piano. Music can really get to me-I need it like food. |
