Your bow is not broken but you've run out of arrows. How can you fake being a bard?
Gnomes quite often have pointy hats and will fit easily within the 28" draw length of my bow. Assuming, of course that the bow has sufficient poundage to launch a gnome... Or that a gnome is available...
