Introduction	Aleksandra started her artistic career at the age of 5, sewing cloth puppets with her mom. She is an artist of Polish decent,working on & exhibiting in Canada, as well as on the international scene. When making her artistic choices Aleksandra relies mostly on intuition.She predominantly works in painting; however she employs her skills to other areas of visual art, as well as makeup & fashion.Aleksandra is concerned with exploring different states of consciousness, memory, perception and hidden desires.Her work is mostly influenced by organic shapes and colours found in nature, as well as by the savage beauty of the grotesque & unusual, often combined with an element of Gothic Romanticism. Furthermore, Aleksandra is influenced by fairy tales, various mythologies and her European heritage, as well the beauty of the Canadian landscape and lastly graffiti art. Aleksandra’s recent visit to the Alexander McQueen exhibit in NYC and his exploration of the Psychoanalytical theory & Primitivism also proved very influential to her aesthetic. Aleksandra’s blogs serve as public diaries of an artist’s journey into the world of fashion, the lowbrow art scene & fine art galleries.
