| Introduction | Andres Bonifacio is my personal hero. I believe he deserves to be the called the First Philippine President because he founded the first Philippine political party, the Katipunan, which won our independence on the 12th of June 1898. Though Andres Bonifacio did not live to claim his rightful place as the country's first president, I believe we owe it to his memory to declare him First Philippine President. He is the father of the Philippine Revolution. And in today's times when we need leaders like him, it is but fitting to remember his great character and courage.
