| Introduction | I am an expert in developing novel solutions to the challenges of mobility, particularly awareness of location and limitations of mobile networks; and in reliable and scalable systems design and the engineering processes and tools to achieve this. I'm also interesting in systems that adapt to user preferences, dealing with issues of privacy, trust and identity in interesting ways. I've been involved in projects including telephone exchange management systems; integrating location data into web sites; application level delay tolerant networks; trust and reputation modelling; relationship and temporal behaviour in social networks; and content centric routing. I move between process and strategy; analysis and design; test-driven implementation and experimental analysis of use and system behaviour in these areas. This blog focusses on the engineering aspects. As well as applying these technical skills I am also experienced in training others in, and leading teams using, them.
