| Introduction | Anja Graham is a contemporary dance artist from Langley, British Columbia. Since she was three years old, Anja has been training in primarily ballet technique although, since she began to expand her practice to more lyrical and contemporary styles, she has since found her niche in contemporary dance. Anja continues her training in Simon Fraser University’s contemporary dance program from which she plans to receive her BFA in 2020. Over the duration of her time in SFU’s program, Anja has had the opportunity to work on projects with a number of great dance artists including Henry Daniel, Robert Kitsos, Justine Chambers, Josh Martin, and Lisa Gelley. Anja has also participated in various student-run shows at SFU as both a dancer and choreographer. Since performing in Ascension(2016 and 2017) as well as in Nectar(2018), this winter she has presented her works 'Snare' in Ascension(2018) and 'an empty sky' in Meraki(2019). After concluding her BFA at SFU, Anja looks forward to continuing her choreographic work in Vancouver’s contemporary dance community. |
