Introduction I am very concerned about the environment and do what I can. It especially pleases me when I can combine my concerns for health with my concerns for environmentally friendly consumerism. But at my age, please don't even think about trying to place another guilt trip on me. You see, I grew up being told by movies, television and magazines that all the world's problems are my fault, or people like me. Remember the commercial with the Indian with a tear rolling down his face because of all the trash? I never dumped trash. I have only had 2 children (remember in the late 60's and early 70's all the "over population" themes?). I turn off unused electrical items. I even purchased a Toyota Prius. Yes, I do believe in Climate Change just not convinced its caused by humans. But try to see from my perspective why I am such a tough sell. My schooldays were spent being lectured to about the impending Ice Age and how helpless we are to stop it. Well, looks like maybe we or Mother Nature did. I suffer from anemia and feel chilly and cold most of the time. So, the Green House effect if real, doesn't necessarily sound all that bad. Just joking. Anyways, I have been guilt tripped to death!
Interests I have twin daughters that are grown up and on their own. Never knew there were so many Web sites dedicated to Empty Nesters. Not that I've looked at them. Much. Now that I seem to have the time, I spend more time looking to balance out my life. Some people might think that to love to play poker and read the Bible is an odd combination. Well, I don't do those both at the same time. I love history especially since it helps make today's political chaos make a bit more sense.
Favorite Movies Anything made when the hemlines were below the knees and the words "making love" didn't mean taking your clothes off.
Favorite Music Anything without words (can't remember them anyways)
Favorite Books Anything non-Fiction (just the facts)
