| Introduction | is a legally established non-profit organization in Taichung City, helping homeless women by providing shelter, employment and medical needs and emotional support. The Good Samaritan Center was founded in 2003 by Maryknoll Sister Marvie L. Misolas in collaboration with lay members of St.Vincent de Paul in Taichung Diocese, as well as Taiwanese friends of different faith traditions. Good Samaritan Women Center Logo The Good Samaritan Women Center logo color is purple signifying the feminine spirit and energy. The logo’s shape is heart representing the importance of compassion in our work with women. The hands embracing the darker color of a woman/human figure represents the acceptance of brokenness and vulnerability of each woman. It also represents the support from others (men and women) who offer support and dedication to help the women towards healing and wholeness |
| Interests | Vision Mision: The Good Samaritan Women Center advocates for the human rights and dignity of each person/woman who found themselves without a place to live or suffering homelessness and risk of being homeless. We called ourselves to provide the women a family and friendly atmosphere so that they can form relationships the will foster support among themselves, staff and volunteers. We help the women maintain self-reliance and dignity while being helped to attain their individual goals. The group's advocacy applies the Christian virtues of faith, hope and love to help women rebuild their lives. Good Samaritan Women Center Mission Vision Statement The mission of Good Samaritan Women Concerns Association is to help vulnerable and poor women find healing and support to help rebuild her life. Every woman deserves a safe place where she can improve, start and sustain a new life. The Good Samaritan Women Center provides a safe place for healing and reconciliation. Our Vision o Help each woman suffering homelessness and those who are at risk of being homeless to find a temporary and safe place to live. o Help each woman to rebuild her life by providing a supportive community of staff, volunteer and co-residents. o Help each woman to find a sustainable work and a safe stable place to live independently. |
