| Introduction | My absolute bliss is creating individual bits and bobs that others can enjoy. I am inspired by other creative women around me, past and present. This blog is named after my much loved Great Aunt, who even though she shed her mortal coil many moons ago, I still carry her memory close to my heart. That is her photo above, in all her 1920's glory. Creative, capable, and practical, with lots of unconditional love mixed in for good measure. My Great Aunt and Grandmother, and the women of their time, created beautiful things out of necessity. I feel very fortunate that they passed some of their skills down to me, although it was definitely by osmosis as I'm sure I wasn't paying near enough attention. I still can't knit, and I don't know if the macrame will ever come in handy! Time will tell... |
