Introduction | Ed is a career rocket scientist/engineer, writer, poet, sculptor, artist and builder of fine furniture and musical instruments. Educated as a chemical engineer, his professional career was involved mainly in development of the Atlas ICBM and Atlas and Centaur space launch rockets. He was propulsion engineer on John Glenn's famous orbital flight. He is author of seven books, all listed on Amazon, holds more than a dozen patents and frequently writes articles and commentary for various publications. Published books are: "The Future of US Rocketry;" "All About Rocket Engines" (Dedicated to gifted students)" "A Pig in the Rumble Seat" (a collection of short stories); "All About Clean Energy" (Dedicated to gifted students); "Scattershot" (a collection of unrelated poems); "For Love of Trees" ( poems about trees); and "Who Rang The Church Bell?" (a children's story). |
