About me

Industry Non-Profit
Occupation Teacher/Principal of New Hope Institute of Childcare and Family
Location Kiwoko, Luwero, Uganda
Interests Keith: I love coaching my 8-12 year old footballers (soccer), teaching in the Childcare and Family Institute, going for walks with my wife and the boys, going running out in "the bush", playing football and basketball, mentoring/discipling young couples and families, teaching on the orphan and widow and spiritual adoption, having and training kids, driving to Kiwoko for a warm coke and chapatis, playing with my boys- wrestling especially, playing guitar, and dreaming about the future. I LOVE growing, processing and roasting my own coffee. I enjoy pretending to be a chicken farmer- we have around 16 chickens- and I enjoy going with my boys to look for eggs every day. I like to plant things and watch my trees growing (avocado, mango, orange, tangerene, lemon, and papaya). I also have some pigs and a cow, and I love reading books, studying, and writing. Oh, did I mention that I love reading the Bible with a cup of coffee in my hand. LB -I love many of the things Keith does but here are a few of my own. Being a mama, having a baby girl, listening to birds and rain on the roof, discipleship, seeing God change lives, and worshiping the King with the piano.
Favorite Movies Lord of the Rings hands down. A couple of others- Finding Forrester, Losing Isaiah, A Knights Tale, Waking Ned Devine, The Hurricane, The Bourne's, Incredibles, One Crazy Summer, Star Wars (IV-VI) and pretty much all super-hero movies. Plus Sweet Home Alabama! :)
Favorite Music Uh...well since I'm in the bush of Uganda I don't have much access to music accept for the same stuff that we play over and over again on our computer! It's pretty much been Derrek Webb these days, though I enjoy a variety of stuff including Travis Cottrell and Klaus.
Favorite Books Did I mention Lord of the Rings- I read "The Hobbit" to Elisha when he was 3 and we have now finished the entire Lord of the Rings series (he's 5). A few others would be Orphans to Heirs (Stibbe), Where's God When It Hurts (Yancey), The Pleasures of God (Piper), The Pursuit of God (Tozer), The End for Which God Created the World (Edwards), Cheaper by the Dozen, The Idiot (Dosty), The Power and the Glory (Green), Their Eyes Were Watching God (Hurston), Free At Last? The Gospel and the African American Experience (Lewis), Cry the Beloved Country (Paton), The Story of the Other Wise Man (Van Dyke), According to Plan (Goldsworthy), The Little Prince, and Frog and Toad are Friends : ). Of course, the Bible is the top- duh.
