| Introduction | The nickname Ælfric is derived from the old English and Norse words Ælf (elf) and Ric (king). The name came about when I was at Uni, and I always seemed to end up playing Elves in RPGs. [Note: There is an historical Ælfric. The Abbot of Eynsham in tenth-century England who wrote a two-year cycle of sermons in Old English.] |
