Introduction My name is Dawn Hanson and I’m a quilter when I’m not overwhelmed with other things in life – family, dogs, owning a business and trying to save the planet. I’ve been quilting since my early 20s. I started out doing all my piecing and quilting by hand, just like my grandmother and my great-grandmother used to do. That got old very quickly. In the mid 90s, I discovered Harriet Hargrave's book about machine quilting. It changed everything. I have been machine quilting ever since. This blog is named after a quilting group that met every month for six years while I lived in Copenhagen, Denmark. A cross between a quilting guild and a wine tasting club, we called ourselves the Quilt Tasters. I will forever be grateful for everything I learned from that special group of friends. Today, I typically have multiple quilting projects underway at once (and dozens more in my head.) There is no shortage of ideas. There is only a shortage of time. Thanks for spending some of your time with me here to share your thoughts, opinions, experience and inspirations. Even if you don't agree with all my opinions, I hope you'll enjoy my quilts!
