| Introduction | The difference between a rebel and a non-conformist is, the rebel insists on resisting, either resisting an authority or a cause. There is an outer movement, an external symbolism, thought or force that ultimately creates violence in oneself. The non-conformist, on the other hand, simply doesn't respond to the call to conform, remains introspective and has no pressing need to show anything. I hope people see this difference because it will become a dividing philosophy in the near future. You can see the epitome of the non-conformist in cats, especially my house cat, Cleo. |
