| Introduction | Met Deb, circa 2009. She's organised, outgoing, decisive, happily married with 2 cutie pies and comfortable with the label control freak. Meet Debbie, several years later at 37/38. She's hyper allergic, indecisive, feeling somewhat alienated, sad and a little confused. Did I also mention she's been off the pill for several years but starting having crazy, frequent, painful periods? After blood tests, which reveal an allergy to something (grass, kids, and husbands?), consultations with several doctors and ultrasounds ... ... the diagnosis is Peri-what?-menopause! ... Ridiculous, but in hindsight bloody obvious. And certainly not at all helpful when approaching a major milestone like turning 40! This is my blog about Debbie's experience. A droll effort to alleviate the symptoms of peri menopause by sharing her trials and tribulations. |
