Introduction	Esteban A. Cruz has a degree in architecture from the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, with post-graduate studies at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura Venezia (IUAV) in Venice, Italy. Since 1996, he has worked on projects in the fields of architecture, urban planning, conservation, and is currently project manager in Milan engaged primarily in international practice. While on study and practice assignments, he independently conducted research since 1995 on the Hypnerotomachia Poliphili: an architectural treatise anomalously published in Venice in 1499. Thanks to his past experience with history and computer applications, in 2007, he established a full, design-study research project “Formas Imaginisque Poliphili.” In addition to his research, he has also been invited to give lectures and presentations at conferences in Italy pertaining to the architecture and content described in the Hypernerotomachia.
