| Introduction | Mike, Linda, Rachel, Austin & Ron For those of you that don't know we moved to Missouri almost 9 years ago. We are living close to my family- my parents and 2 sisters. It's a lot different than Arizona but we are able to have farm animals, we have pigs every other year and chickens. We mow about 2 acres of land so we have a riding lawnmower. We live about 8 miles into the country so we drive a lot more to get any where. We have all kinds of wildlife that come into our yard. We bought a home on 3.44 acres last year and live at the end of a cul-de-sac. For entertainment we sit on the front porch and watch the cars go by (which doesn't happen very much), we go to auctions, truck and tractor pulls, fairs of all kinds, lawn mower races and livestock auctions. We also have weather extremes- instead of heat all the time we have tornado watches and warnings, rain, severe thunder storm watches and warnings and snow or hail, floods. We also have snow days and weeks. We have county water, a lagoon and sometimes no power for days at a time, so you need a generator or a year's supply put away and a 72 hour supply. All in all it's a pretty fun adventure in our lives. |
