IntroductionI have spent my life trying to help make positive social change. I am particularly concerned about water issues. I am currently involved in the Alliance for Community Transition - South Sound (ACT-SS) as the Water Wise coordinator. This group is part of the international transition movement that intends to help our communities plan for an era of climate change, peak resources (oil, soil, water, etc.), and economic instability. The emphasis of transition planning is generally about localizing the production of what we need. For an overview of ACT-SS visit the "South Sound Green Pages" article contained in the links section. This blog is going to be a forum within which I can share ideas and generate discussion about how to make water use sustainable. This is going to be an adventure in social media and its relevance to generating genuine dialogue and facilitating the development of important public policy choices. This is going to be an adventure!
