| Introduction | Roger Scott Best is a physician assistant (PA-C) specializing in emergency medicine since 1996. In 1994, I returned to university for training as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and continued my emergency medicine services in the ED since 1996. I received my MS in Emergency Medicine in 2000, and in 2008-2009, I was deployed in Iraq in support of of the Iraqi Freedom mission as a civilian PA attached to the security forces at the US Embassy in Baghdad. In 2012, I became one of the first groups of PAs in the nation to receive a (CAQ) certification of added qualification in Emergency Medicine from the NCCPA, the National Certification Board for Physician Assistants. I am married to Lisa, have a grandson, Ayden Scott, and father of a girl, Victoria Elizabeth, whom I helped raise from the age of only a few months with an ex-fiancee'. |
