| Introduction | I'm a 40-something wife and mother of 7 (six boys and one girl). I'm also the reluctant home-schooler of the youngest five of them. Being a mom of 7 tends to color all of my thinking, but if it's just about me let's just say I love to laugh, hate to cry, wish for tulips in this hot place and like being a redhead. (totally random thoughts!) I LOVE to read a good, thought provoking, page turning novel, sit on the beach and watch the sun set, play my grand piano with a breeze coming in through the window, go on dates with my best friend Ren, search and study the scriptures, cuddle a sleeping child in my arms, explore the world with a camera, laugh with my teenagers, burp loudly and pretend to be shocked that such a sound came out of my mouth, and write down the funny things my kids say. I also wish I could still tap dance and occasionally jump a toe-touch or flip a back-handspring. Getting old is great for wisdom, not so much for physical activities I loved as a teenager. Before I die I want to visit a Cathedral in Europe, the old city of Jerusalem and go on a tropical beach vacation with just my hubby, a hammock and a good book. |
