Introduction	I'm a proud atheist. I do my best to take a rational approach to all aspects of life and have little tolerance for those who use logical fallacies to argue. I'm a registered Democrat but lie well left to most candidates. I've voted for a non-Democrat (Charlie Crist) once in three general elections. These days Bernie Sanders might be a little left of me on economics. I believe in higher and progressive taxes, but not to the point where the incentive to work becomes nil. I've been a vegan since the summer of 2006. I was a self-described vegetarian since about 5th grade. I definitely wasn't perfect and I definitely did not have the ability to understand why it was unethical. I actually don't particularly like animals. I strongly believe they have rights that are at least almost equal to those of humans if not actually equal. I love my cat but don't feel a particular connection to nature.
