| Introduction | My love affair with images began during walks with my Estonian grandfather, looking for subjects he would draw and paint. My uncle, his youngest son, was in art school. He told me to draw the spaces. In college I first connected with a lifelong friend who showed me around film and darkrooms. Now, with the little handheld digital, I snap pictures of my world. My father and mother named me "beautiful field" and that is (usually) how I see the world. I get quietly excited about the beauty that surrounds us, and want to share it. I live in Atlanta with my husband. We have three "children", two grands, numerous nieces and nephews and godchildren; we are both spiritual directors; he is also a pastoral counselor/therapist and I work as a business consultant/coach for entrepreneurs (www.goodwingrowth.com) |
