An "Other" Mother

Introduction I'm a 4th wave feminist of color and mother. Because my appearance often decieves people (or should I say I'm am often stereotyped based on my appearance), I find it neccessary to add that I am Latina (despite my abhorance of having to constantly defend my "otherness"). I'm a working class mother that waits tables to make ends meet. After 8 year's of part-time and interrupted study, I graduated with my degree in Human Services. I plan to attend law school in the Fall of 2011 and later a Master of Public Administration program with a concentration on social and gender policy. I hope to create and implement feminist policy and provide legal assistance to non-profit organizations and individuals in need.
