| Introduction | I was a full-time Special Education Teacher in Southern California where the majority of my students were English-language learners. I watched them struggle to assimilate to a new culutre and an English-speaking school. Most of these children arrived in the United States with their parents searching for better educational and employment opportunities. Their bravery and ambition inspired me to promote education on a global level. Now, I am in Cusco, Peru working to support San Gabriel Kindergarten in a variety of ways including curriculum development, fundraising, web design, promotion, sustainability/farming and structural needs. |
