| Introduction | I was born in Taber, Alberta, Canada to Robert L and Ethel Valgardson Stephenson. When they had been married about seven months, they decided they wanted dad to serve a mission even though I was already on the way! Mom went home to be with her parents in Taber while dad served in the Northwestern States Mission and we were all reunited as a new family two years later. I grew up with six wonderful siblings in Spokane, Washington and Salt Lake City, Utah. Kim and I met in beautiful, historic Palmyra, New York at the Hill Cumorah Pageant in 1969. Kim had been Elder Rogers for a few weeks and I was the daughter of his mission president and wife:) We started dating at BYU a little over two years later and the next summer we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. We have lived in Provo, Layton, North Salt Lake and Mesa, Arizona. We have been blessed with 37 wonderful, eventful years of marriage, seven beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful children and 12 amazing, adorable, brilliant grandchildren since. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the greatest blessing any family can have. Thanks dad and mom!! Life is good!! |
