Introduction	I am a commercial photographer based in Beaufort, South Carolina. Upon graduation from college, where I degreed in Commercial Art and Photography, I received a job photographing wildlife for the Colorado Fish, Games and Parks Department. Observing wildlife behavior, and recording it on film became my passion and opened the door to a life long study and appreciation of the natural world. I began producing the photo column in July of 2008. It was born as my attempt to answer the many questions I receive each year regarding the photos in my calendars. The column features the current “photo of the month” and the back story: How I captured the image, a location reference, a photo tip and related natural history information. Also in 2008 I started inviting other photographers to join me in the field. For the first time, shooters at any skill level started joining me for a photo adventure into the South Carolina Lowcountry (trips are designed for guest’s skill level). They not only get up close to the wildlife but I also help them with any photo issues they may have. I have enjoyed immensely sharing these outdoor experiences with others ☺
